Within these pages, you will see all manner of cheap carp fishing tackle for sale, but don't just dive straight in and buy the cheapest thing you can. Personally, I do use cheap items for a lot of my needs, such as rig cases, bank sticks and various fishing accessories. However, as I fish waters with 40lb+ carp in, my reels are always my trusty Shimano workhorses (companies like Fox and Daiwa also do great reels) and my rods are always well up to the task (my own custom built ones, or my Nash ones and Greys spod rod, usually). That said, don't dismiss something just because it's cheap...especially on Ebay, the home of bargains! For example, Okuma reels are widely regarded as being excellent carp fishing reels and I dare say that many of the rods on offer are up to the job.
